John Terry blown away by Declan Rice after West Ham win
John Terry took to Twitter to congratulate Declan Rice after West Ham beat Liverpool 3-2 in the Premier League on Sunday.
Against all odds, the Hammers came up with the goods to upset the title contenders.
Rice continued his good run of form and absolutely bossed the middle of the park, which led to former Chelsea captain waxing his lyrical.
Via his personal Twitter account, Terry said, “Declan Rice is the best in his position in world football. What a player.”
Class appreciates class
Terry’s widely regarded as one of the best centre-backs of the Premier League era.
Despite all the bickering with Chelsea, even the sternest of Hammers fans would admit that they would have loved to have a player like Terry on their side.
It’s great to see that he’s appreciating Rice as it could do wonders for his morale.
He certainly would’ve grown up watching Terry play games for England, win the Premier League as well as the Champions League and could’ve learned a thing or two from his leadership skills.
Rice is clearly the model professional, much like Terry was during his heyday.
Hopefully, the Hammers skipper continues putting in these kinds of performances as he’s helped elevate the status of the side.
