Jesse Lingard likes West Ham post on Instagram after Leicester win

Jesse Lingard liked a post of the highlights from the Leicester game which was shared by the official West Ham account on Instagram.

The England international has been linked with a return to the London Stadium after spending four successful months at the club on loan last season.

Recently, ESPN reported that the Hammers had made an enquiry into signing the 28-year-old, but the Manchester outfit rejected it.

However, given his recent Instagram activity, West Ham fans would be forgiven for thinking that there is still a lot of love for the club and he could very well be tempted to moving to the London Stadium.

Instagram seems to be the place where players are now expressing their intentions, especially in terms of the signings/clubs they want.

Recently, Darren Randolph posted a cheeky update on his story hinting at the England attacker training with him at Rush Green soon.

Lingard’s clearly made a lot of friends at the club and it’s due to his time here at loan why Gareth Southgate even considered picking him for Euro 2020.

He was part of the preliminary squad and possibly did not make the cut as Southgate chose the players he’s been working with over the past 12-18 months.

At Man United, Lingard is unlikely to reach the same kind of form as he did with us and that’s because Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not be playing him ahead of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho or Bruno Fernandes.

Now, with Paul Pogba doing so well on the left wing, there’s another player ahead of Lingard in the pecking order.

At West Ham, he’s guaranteed to be the first choice and could fight his way into England contention as well.

Hopefully, in the next few days, we get closer to reaching an agreement and get the signing done before deadline day.
