Gianluca Scamacca will officially sign his West Ham United contract today (Tuesday 25 July) to finalise his move to the London Stadium.
It’s widely reported that the Italian international will undergo his medical in the coming hours, but Fabrizio Romano has shared that he will also put pen-to-paper on his new deal.
Scamacca will arrive from Sassuolo and has touched down in London to become the first new striker signing in nearly two years since Sebastien Haller left the club.
Adding to the information in an interview with Caught Offside, Romano shared everything that will happen today as the Irons finally bring in a new striker.
“Gianluca Scamacca will undergo medical tests and sign as new West Ham player today,” he wrote.
“Then an official statement will follow soon.”

Finally.
After nearly two years of Michail Antonio having to carry the entire striker burden on his back, he will finally get the competition and depth alongside he deserves.
Scamacca will arrive as a huge signing for the club and brings a wealth of international skill and experience along with him for the £30million+ fee paid out.
Everyone at West Ham knows that nothing is official until the ink has dried on the contract with the amount of rubbish we have had to endure, but that is coming.
It looked bleak at one stage this month when a move for Armando Broja looked unlikely because of Chelsea’s games, but GSBK have stood tall and now delivered Scamacca.
This looks on course to be announce tonight by West Ham United, and people up and down the country are surely going to sit back and take a long look at the impressive squad being put together.
