West Ham United agree personal terms with Gianluca Scamacca, medical on Tuesday - Sky Sports

West Ham have agreed personal terms with Gianluca Scamacca over a £35.5m deal to join the club on a contract until 2027, with a medical set for Tuesday.

That’s according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, who shared on his personal Twitter account that talks have seen a deal agreed and that the player will fly to London on Monday night.

Scamacca will put pen to paper on a deal until 2027, with the option for an extra year and once the deal is confirmed it is believed that it will put an end to their pursuit of Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

Scamacca scored 16 goals in Serie A last season for Sassuolo and had been targeted by Paris Saint-Germain, but it was West Ham who offered them the deal they were looking for and they’re now set to get it over the line.

It’s been a long time coming since West Ham were looking to bring in a striker for the squad, but finally they’ve found one and he looks a tasty prospect.

Just 23-years-old, he has shown an ability to score in a top European league and has got plenty of potential to improve and continue to develop in the Premier League.

Physically he is well built and looks like he could cope with the demands of England’s top flight, but he also fits the bill perfectly for what David Moyes wanted in a striker.

The squad now is much deeper and has greater quality, and with Michail Antonio having genuine competition for a starting striker spot now the performances of everyone should rise to keep their shirt.

It’s the perfect outcome and a good summer window just got even better, so fans can be excited about the new season with the start less than a fortnight away.
