German press react as West Ham United knocked out of Europa League
German press are in absolute delirium after West Ham were knocked out of the Europa League on Thursday.
The Hammers lost 1-0 against Eintracht Frankfurt and 3-1 in aggregate as they bow out of the semi-final tie.
Aaron Cresswell and David Moyes were both sent off on a heated night in Germany that ended in a heart-break for the London outfit.

Bild has described the victory as a “sensation”, and “madness”, while Sportbuzzer.de has described the post-match celebration as a “wild party”.
Frankfurt will meet Rangers in the final of the Europa League.
Heart-break
It’s really sad that it ended in this way, but West Ham players will be extremely proud of what they have done.
To reach the semi-finals of the Europa League is no mean feat, and it’s a learning curve for them.
The first leg 2-1 defeat at home proved to be a big factor in this two-legged tie. On Thursday, they went into the backfoot after Cresswell’s red card.
It became apparent that they will have a mountain to climb but the players never refused to give up. They fought till the end to salvage pride for the club.

The result probably could have been different with eleven men on the pitch, but these are the experiences the club will carry forward.
Now, the big task remains. The Hammers must focus all their attention to win their remaining games in the Premier League and get into the top six. They simply cannot miss out on the European football next season.
In other West Ham news, a BBC pundit has urged West Ham to sign a £40million rated Chelsea wantaway, saying he would be a “great fit”.
