Fabrizio Romano issues contract update on West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen

West Ham attacker Jarrod Bowen has agreed to a new long-term deal at the club, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Sky Sports journalist claimed on 7 October that all is done between the England international and the Hammers and he’s set to stay for the foreseeable future.

Bowen has been linked with a move away from the London Stadium but has now committed his future to the club.

Romano wrote on Twitter, “Jarrod Bowen agrees new long term deal at West Ham. It’s all done, one more excellent news for the #WHUFC winger after England NT call. Bowen wanted to stay as key part of the project. Jarrod said yes to final proposal.”

Superb

This surely is news that every Hammers fan will have been waiting for and he’s finally agreed to the terms offered by the club.

It’s not like this contractual situation affected his form in any way but it’s always nice to get these things done as soon as possible.

David Moyes will also be delighted as this tremendously reduces the chances of a club like Liverpool coming in for him.

West Ham

He was widely touted as a replacement for Mohammed Salah amid his links to Saudi Arabia and had he left, there’s a good chance they would’ve tried to sign Bowen.

Now, even if they come in for him, West Ham can demand nine figures for his sale and that may price any club out of a deal.

The Hammers will be targeting finishing in the top half and going as far as they can in Europe after an impressive start to the season.

In other West Ham news, a Hammers star has the same conversation with a manager as James Maddison did before he joined Tottenham Hotspur.
