ExWHUemployee: West Ham to open Issa Diop exit talks after signing Nayef Aguerd
West Ham are reportedly set to hold farewell talks with Issa Diop after they sign Nayef Aguerd from Rennes in the coming days.
According to ExWHUemployee, Aguerd is already in London ahead of his medical at the Irons and his arrival spells the end of Diop’s time at the London Stadium.
The 25-year-old appears to have played his last game for the club and will be shown the door this summer.

Ex wrote, “Nayef Aguerd is now in the country and the club are hoping to tie up the deal by the weekend. He needs to complete a medical which sometimes can be a two day process.
“The club are expected to start negotiations for the departure of Issa Diop as soon as Aguerd signing is confirmed.”
Time to go
Of the four first-team centre-backs in 2021/22, Diop was by far, the most underwhelming of the lot.
When Angelo Ogbonna suffered a season-ending injury, Craig Dawson stepped up to be an unlikely saviour for the Hammers.
He proved many supporters wrong and put in some incredible performances en route to West Ham’s seventh-place finish in the Premier League.
The expectations were that even Diop upped the ante and rise to the occasion, but unfortunately, the Frenchman failed to make the starting berth his own.
He has been linked with an exit in past windows, but it seems that things have now become serious and he already looks like he’s got one foot out of the door.
This could be ideal for Moyes to promote two young defenders and have them learn from the likes of Kurt Zouma and Dawson.
In other West Ham news, ExWHUemployee claims that the Hammers are confident of beating Manchester City to sign an attacking sensation this summer.
