ExWHUemployee shares Lucas Paqueta update ahead of West Ham United v Manchester United Premier League clash

West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta will reportedly miss the game against Silkeborg on Thursday but should be back in time for the Manchester United clash.

The midfielder was feared to be out for a long time, but it’s understood that the injury was not a serious one as he could be back soon.

The UEFA Europa Conference League clash is a dead rubber so he possibly would have been rested for it even if fit.

Speaking on the West Ham Way Podcast at 6:40, ExWHUemployee said, “Paqueta surely won’t play on Thursday but could be available for the game against Manchester United.”

Need him for Manchester United

Flynn Downes has done decently in Paqueta’s absence but he will make way once the Brazilian comes back.

Paqueta is undoubtedly a game changer who has now adapted well to life in the Premier League.

Whenever fit, he is one of David Moyes’ first names on the team sheet and we’re expecting him to return against Erik ten Hag’s side.

Despite their league position, the Old Trafford outfit have looked far from convincing in most league games and will certainly be there for the taking.

We cannot wait for the action to unfold at the weekend, especially now that they have broken into the top ten.

West Ham certainly want to finish in the top seven for the third season in a row and will certainly fancy their chances in this game.
