West Ham are set to agree on personal terms with Fenerbahce centre-back Attila Szalai, according to Omer Celikbasli.
The SPOR journalist exclusively told West Ham Zone he believes that Szalai should be a Hammer before the transfer window closes.
They submitted a second offer for the 24-year-old which was close to Fenerbahce’s valuation and they’re expected to finalise the terms of the Hungary international’s contract.
Celikbasli said, “Szalai will most likely move to West Ham. He wants the move and would agree personal terms.”

There is no point dilly-dallying over this and if the player is keen on moving, then they must go on and secure his services.

He comes highly-recommended and has been on the club’s radar for a while so he’s certainly one David Moyes admires.
After Nayef Aguerd’s injury, signing a left-sided centre-back has been the priority for the club and coming so close to signing one is pretty good pace from the recruitment team.
Rob Newman undoubtedly has been superb in this transfer window and he’s probably got most of the key names Moyes wanted.
This is the kind of relationship we expect managers and recruitment teams to share and it’s only going to benefit all the stakeholders at the club.
Hopefully, they also make decent progress with Thilo Kehrer and then leave the final decision to Moyes as to which player, if not both, he would fancy signing this summer.
