David Ornstein shares West Ham United transfer update amid links to Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher
West Ham, Everton and Newcastle United will reportedly be missing out on signing Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher in the January transfer window.
According to the Athletic journalist David Ornstein [3pm on 31 January], the Blues are set to retain the services of the England international.
Chelsea have high hopes for Gallagher and he fits the age profile as Graham Potter and Todd Boehly are looking to build a squad for the future.

Not happening
It seemed a tough one to begin with when links to West Ham first emerged and it’s panned out how many thought it would.
Gallagher would’ve been just the signing the Hammers needed but unfortunately, that’s not going to happen for them this time around.
It’s been such a quiet deadline day at the London Stadium and we’re waiting to see something happen as there’s just no ambition being shown.

David Moyes has a real job on his hands to make the most out of this current crop of players as they have been underwhelming of late.
If he cannot do that, it will be his job that’s on the firing line and he should’ve demanded another signing in January.
Now, we will have to wait and see what happens in the coming few hours and then the next couple of months as the Hammers are currently in a relegation battle.
