David Moyes to be handed another Premier League opportunity after West Ham United exit
David Moyes will get another opportunity in the Premier League following his West Ham United exit this summer, according to Tony Cascarino.
The Scotsman departed the London Stadium at the end of the season following a disappointing end to the campaign, with former Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui the man to succeed him in East London.
Moyes is yet to take on a new role in football and is instead part of the media coverage for Euro 2024, but talkSPORT pundit Cascarino believes he will still be given another opportunity to manage at the top level.
Speaking on talkSPORT on Saturday (15 June) he said: “I think there will be another opportunity (in the Premier League) because what he has proved is that he can put the foundations of a football club together to make them a very solid football club.
“I think he achieved that at West Ham, he made some shrewd acquisitions in his time there as well and he tried to bring a bit more flare into his team.
“Supporters sometimes have enough of a certain manager and I think that sort of developed before they won the European trophy, he kept them up and after he kept them up there was another place to go and they got there winning the European tournament but within a year, that wasn’t enough.
“That’s just football.”
Will David Moyes get another job after West Ham United exit?
Although it was only confirmed a matter of weeks ago, it has seemed as though an age has passed since Moyes departed West Ham, such has been the amount of speculation in the early stages of the transfer window.
Lopetegui has wasted no time looking to add to his squad this summer, with Luis Guilherme already confirmed and a number of other targets reportedly in mind as the Spanish boss looks to rebuild the playing squad from top to bottom.

After a disappointing second half of the season, there simply had to be changes in East London, both in the playing and coaching staff and while that may have been harsh on Moyes, the Hammers didn’t really have a choice.
Hopefully, the Scotsman will get another job sooner rather than later. As Cascarino said, there are few better at building foundations within a football club and more than a couple of Premier League sides need that steady presence.
