David Moyes may want versatile players as West Ham eye moves for Watford duo Emmanuel Dennis and Ismaila Sarr
David Moyes could reportedly be looking for West Ham to sign “Swiss Army Knives” this summer given their transfer priorities.
According to Claret and Hugh, the Hammers want to sign Watford duo Emmanuel Dennis and Ismaila Sarr this summer, along with Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd.
The report claims that by signing three players, Moyes would get six possible positions filled as all three are capable of playing more than one role for the team.
Makes sense
Given the number of injuries the Hammers sustained in 2021/22, it only makes sense for Moyes to want a greater depth next season.
There are also going to be exits so his squad will get further depleted, making it very important for them to sign reinforcements.

Aguerd seems like he’s edging closer to a move to the London Stadium while Sarr and Dennis would both be available on the cheap.
Watford’s relegation to the Championship means that they can no longer hold out for what they could had they still been a Premier League.
Dennis and Sarr both know that they’re top-flight players and may not want to waste a year playing in the second tier of English football.
While they won’t be names that get the Hammers fans excited, it’s often the utility players that help the star names thrive and ensure that the team continues to churn out results every week.
