Carlton Cole shares reaction as West Ham face Sevilla in Europa League

West Ham will face a challenging clash with Sevilla in the last 16 of the Europa League.

Former Hammers striker, Carlton Cole, has delivered an instant reaction on Twitter after the draw was made today (15 February).

Sevilla are serial winners in this competition, having won the trophy six times in their history.

Cole tweeted: “Sevilla it is then! Come on you Irons”

Exciting

Sevilla finished third in their Champions League group, but made it through the knock-out stages after beating Dinamo Zagreb 3-2 in aggregate.

They are in good form in the league this season and are currently Real Madrid’s closest contenders for the La Liga title.

The La Liga side are six points behind Carlo Ancelotti’s side, and they are on an 11-game unbeaten run in the league.

West Ham have been superb throughout their Europa League campaign, but the Hammers need to pick up their form.

David Moyes’ side are struggling a bit in the league, but they are still on the hunt for a place in the top-four.

It will be interesting to see if the Hammers can successfully manage both domestic and Europe simultaneously as their lack of squad depth could hurt them.

The first legs will be played on Thursday, March 10, with the reverse fixtures scheduled for March 17.
