Zouma handed first PL start - Confirmed West Ham XI v Manchester United
Kurt Zouma has been handed his first start for West Ham by David Moyes against Manchester United for today’s game.
The Frenchman was named in the eleven on Thursday against Dinamo Zagreb and looked match fit, which merits a spot in the team.
Moyes pushed for signing him this summer and now that he’s got his man, we can’t wait to see him in action in the coming weeks.
Apart from that, Michail Antonio misses out because of a suspension while Said Benrahma picked up a knock in the Europa League clash but still makes the eleven.
There for the taking
Antonio’s absence may prove costly, but the Hammers have enough in their attack to cause a few problems to the Man United defence.
The likes of Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire may be impressive, but a fluid West Ham attack has the capability to run rings around them.
Declan Rice, who has been linked with a move to the side he faces today, may have a few things to prove and so will Moyes, after being unceremoniously sacked from the Old Trafford hot seat seven years ago.
Since then he has helped improve this Hammers side leaps and bounds and we cannot wait to see him celebrate another win over his former employers.
It’s not going to be easy as it never is when you’re facing Cristiano Ronaldo, but Man United don’t have the best of records at the London Stadium and it’s time for the Hammers to inflict further misery on them.
