West Ham v Liverpool confirmed XI: Declan Rice misses out

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has not been named even among the substitutes for their Premier League game against Liverpool.

The Englishman has been David Moyes’ favourite at the club and his omission is a major cause of concern.

Pablo Fornals is likely to play in a deeper role to compensate for his absence with Alex Kral still on the bench.

Moyes has also not opted to go for Mark Noble in midfield while Ben Johnson has been given the nod despite his contractual situation.

Craig Dawson once again gets the nod over Issa Diop despite the latter’s impressive performances of late.

Ben Johnson will have a point to prove as he starts ahead of Ryan Fredericks.

Do not lose

In the reverse fixture, the Hammers absolutely schooled Liverpool and picked up an unlikely win.

Anything other than a loss here would be a great result and one Moyes would take before kick-off.

West Ham

Their performances have been far from impressive of late and things need to change quickly.

The Hammers are in a decent position to finish in the top four but to do so they need to pick up points from such games.

Hopefully, the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio wing in their magic and get the desired result today.
