West Ham could hand out four full debuts v Dinamo Zagreb

West Ham United finally return to Europa League action on Thursday evening as they take on Dinamo Zagreb.

The Irons travelled to Croatia yesterday with David Moyes since confirming that he has a full squad to choose from.

The BBC have shared a major team news update, insisting that four full debuts could be handed out in Eastern Europe.

West Ham

Alphonse Areola could start in goal, replacing Lukasz Fabianski who hasn’t exactly had the best of starts to the season.

Kurt Zouma has been forced to wait for his debut, and it could come in this huge clash as we look to start our European journey with three points.

Ahead of them, Alex Kral could make his debut, although that one may be more unlikely given that Mark Noble is likely to start instead.

Finishing off the possible four full debuts would be Nikola Vlasic, who did come on against Southampton, but didn’t earn his first start.

West Ham

Smart.

Given that our squad depth was significantly boosted on deadline day, it would be silly not to use it.

Areola, Zouma, Kral and Vlasic add great options in every single area of the field, and seeing all four feature would be brilliant.

Changes aren’t guaranteed by Moyes though, who isn’t one to consistently swap his options, on matter how the form is looking.

It will be intriguing to see which team is selected given the huge clash with Manchester United at the weekend, and it could tell us a lot with how seriously we are taking the Europa League this season.

Most would feel like this is an opportunity missed if the Irons don’t go all out to get as far as possible, there is a real chance to get as far as possible in a competition such as this one.

Four full debuts? Many would love to see it.
