Nolan and Ogbonna gave Chesters huge embrace at full-time on Thursday
West Ham duo Kevin Nolan and Angelo Ogbonna gave debutant Daniel Chesters a huge embrace on Thursday night, claims Thomas Clark.
The Hammers ran out comfortable 3-0 winners against Genk to ensure that they’ve got one foot in the Round of 16 of the Europa League.
It was also a night to remember for Chesters who was brought on in the dying stages of the contest to be handed his Hammers debut.
Football London’s Clark narrated what happened once the game got over. Via his personal Twitter account, he wrote, “Angelo Ogbonna and Kevin Nolan head to Daniel Chesters on the final whistle to give the debutant a huge embrace after making his West Ham debut.”
Memorable day in his life
No matter where Chesters’ career goes from here, Thursday’s going to be a night that he will never forget.
Every player dreams of making their debut in front of a full-house and the home fans looking forward to cheering every touch of the ball.
Few get the opportunity to make their debut under the lights in a European game and that’s something nobody can take away from Chesters.

He came on for Manuel Lanzini and had an instant impact as he won the ball back in his half before passing it to Mark Noble who carried it into the final third.
The fans acknowledged this and applauded Chesters from that moment on and we’re glad that David Moyes gave another promising youngster his senior debut.
With Conor Coventry out on loan, we’re expecting Chesters to make the matchday squad more often and possibly get his Premier League debut in the coming months.
