Why Millwall duo were 'absolutely livid' in draw vs West Ham United

Millwall's players were fuming even when in control of the game against West Ham United.

The Hammers found themselves two goals down on enemy territory in Saturday lunchtime's Championship clash.

Caleb Taylor opened the scoring and Camiel Neghli added a second before half-time in a dismal first-half showing from West Ham.

Nuno Espirito Santo did manage to get a response out of his side thanks to goals from Mohamadou Kante - who was later sent off - and Konstantinos Mavropanos.

A point can be considered a positive result at The Den in the circumstances, but Millwall will be kicking themselves.

Skipper Jake Cooper even looked annoyed when his side were cruising, as pointed out by Sky Sports pundit Andy Hinchcliffe.

What moment left Millwall players angry?

West Ham fans were the ones given plenty to be angry about in the first half - the worst of the season to date.

However, Tairyk Arconte left his own Millwall players annoyed when opting not to put the ball into the box from a free-kick.

Millwall had plenty of players up, including Cooper and fellow target man Lyndon Dykes, yet the ball was worked short out wide.

Millwall lost possession and the cross did not arrive, much to the annoyance of the home fans and some players.

Speaking on Sky Sports' live coverage of the match, former defender Hinchcliffe said: "You see Jake Cooper there, he's absolutely livid.

"Dykes as well. They're saying 'we're in attacking positions, ball's on the edge of the box'. It's such a poor free-kick. Get the ball into the box to the big lad."

Millwall's failure to push on and find a third goal would ultimately come back to haunt them.
