West Ham United face a tough test of their credentials at Swansea City on Saturday.

The Hammers head to South Wales on the back of a 6-0 hammering of Lincoln City last time out.

West Ham's caused was aided by Lincoln being reduced to nine men by the 23rd minute, though they still toiled for much of the first half.

That thumping saw Nuno Espirito Santo's men return to winning ways after a couple of draws with Millwall and QPR.

The upshot of that run is that West Ham travel to the Swansea.com Stadium four points adrift of Vitor Matos' side.

Journalist and EFL expert Benjamin Bloom made his prediction based off the fact he thinks Jarrod Bowen and Konstantinos Mavropanos are "carrying" West Ham.

What Benjamin Bloom thinks West Ham will do against Swansea

Mavropanos and Bowen were both on target as West Ham racked up the goals at Sincil Bank.

Captain Bowen already has six goals and five assists in 10 Championship outings this season, and had a late penalty saved in the 1-1 draw with QPR.

Centre-back Mavropanos has also chipped in with five goals himself, in a valuable contriution to the cause.

Bloom gave his predictions alongside Hammers Chat podcaster Geo Mackie on his personal YouTube channel.

He predicted a 1-0 win for Swansea, while Mackie also thinks West Ham will lose, tipping a 2-1 victory for the home side.

Explaining his reasoning, Bloom said: "I still feel individuals, Mr Bowen, Mr Mavropanos are maybe carrying the team a little bit.

"Yeah, 6-0 is 6-0, but the biggest budget presumably against the smallest budget, 11 against nine for three quarters of the game I don't know how much I read into that.

"I either need to go a statement win or a scoring draw here, in similar fashion to the Millwall game. I think Swansea are better than Millwall. I'm going to back against West Ham here, I'm going to go 1-0 Swansea."

Why West Ham fans will love Nuno's one-word reply to 'must-win' Swansea question

West Ham can't lose too much ground

West Ham have only been beaten once this season, that coming back in August at home to Charlton Athletic.

But the draws are hurting the Hammers a little bit, with West Ham having drawn four of their 10 matches.

They are only two points back of second-place Middlesbrough, but they won't want to cede too much ground on the top two too early in the season.

There's obviously still a lot of football left to be played after this game, but with the talent in the ranks Nuno's side will want to dominate as much as possible.

This represents a tough test, but West Ham have to be confident of getting a result.
