West Ham, Chelsea, Brighton, Everton, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United want to sign teenage striker George Feeney, according to the Belfast Telegraph.

The media outlet reported on its website on Monday (11 September) that the 15-year-old will have been scouted during the reserves game against Cliftonville.

The Norther Irish striker plies his trade for Glentoran where he currently represents the under-18s.

Better chance?

Chelsea have made a habit of stockpiling young talent and not really treating all their academy players equally.

They sign the up and coming names for big money and loan them out or promote them and see the ones that finally take the step up in a few years.

It's a more methodical process at the London Stadium and despite not being as rich a club as Chelsea, West Ham still attract good young players.

Declan Rice is the perfect example of what a young talent can develop into and there's no reason for others to think they can't follow suit.

It remains to be seen with Chelsea, Brighton and Everton keeping tabs on the 15-year-old, where he eventually ends up going.

The Hammers have been pretty thorough with their youth recruitment in the past so one can expect them to do a good job.
