West Ham have decided against signing former Manchester United and Nottingham Forest attacker Jesse Lingard, according to Claret and Hugh.
The reliable Hammers news website reported on Friday (8 September) that the jury remained out on the England international.
However, now the decision has been made and club sources claim that “No way” will the deal be happening.
Move on
There isn’t as much excitement as there once was for Lingard two years ago when he was on the back of the best spell of his career.
The smart decision would’ve been to stay at West Ham but he did not force his way out of Manchester United and decided to stay there.

Everyone knows how that decision panned out and in hindsight, Lingard will not be overly pleased with the choices he’s made.
He could’ve been one of the first names on the team sheet back then but that’s not going to happen now.
The best he could’ve done was been a backup option but it seems like David Moyes did not want that either.
Despite his playing in the friendly against Ipswich Town recently, it wasn’t enough to convince the manager to get to sign him permanently.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open to leaving his side this summer.
