West Ham United once again failed to keep a clean sheet in a 2-2 draw against Millwall on Saturday.

Nuno Espirito Santo has struggled to keep the Hammers solid for the most part since taking over as manager.

The Irons conceded what can arguably be considered two soft goals after long throw-ins from the hosts at The Den on 19 September.

Jarrod Bowen was nowhere near his best against Millwall and failed to turn up for the Dockers Derby.

The England international doesn't seem to have the same motivation to perform as he did in the Premier League.

With the East London outfit gunning for automatic promotion to the Premier League, it's time for the Portuguese manager to make some bold tactical changes in E20.

Kyle Walker-Peters has been consistently exposed at West Ham this season and a lack of support hasn't helped.

Bowen has mostly started wide with Nuno preferring a 4-4-2 formation at the Hammers.

The 29-year-old looks to have lost a yard of pace in recent months and is no longer as effective off the right.

There's no denying the Englishman's quality and it's time the Portuguese manager thinks about playing him up top alongside another striker.

Giving Bowen free rein up front without him having to think about tracking back would certainly unlock better opportunities for the team overall in the final third.

How Jarrod Bowen change can be part of defensive solution

With Bowen moving forward, it would open up space for someone like Divine Mukasa or even Mohamadou Kante to fill it.

The two midfielders are more willing defensive workers than the England international and could give Walker-Peters the help he desperately needs.

With Morato tucking in with Konstantinos Mavropanos and Max Kilman instead of making forward runs from left-back, it could provide the Irons with the defensive platform they need.

Discipline has clearly been lacking at the East London outfit and Nuno needs to find the right structure to bring out the best in his squad.

It will be interesting to see whether the Portuguese manager has something different up his sleeve after the three-week international break.
