Niclas Fullkrug continues to make the headlines away from West Ham United.

The German striker returned to the Bundesliga and boyhood club, Werder Bremen, on loan this summer.

After failing in the Premier League, he did the same in Serie A with AC Milan last season in a miserable loan.

But, that could be far from the case with Bremen.

After five goals in his first six appearances, Fullkrug made it seven from as many games on Saturday by scoring both in a 2-2 draw with Paderborn.

So, why was the striker so angry after full-time?

Things on the pitch couldn't be going much better for the striker.

So naturally, talk has continued to rise around his possible return to the German national team with Jurgen Klopp.

At 33-years-old, it would be a great achievement.

Described as the "man of the Bundesliga", BILD notes that Fullkrug was notably irratable with DAZN after the game.

They say that the attacker was fed up of being asked about Germany, and would wish that was respected by the media.

"I think I'm always very respectful to the media – if the media also started to respect me," he said. "And if I've now said 44 times that I don't want to talk about it, it would be cool if we didn't talk about it anymore."

What history did Niclas Fullkrug just make?

All West Ham fans would be surprised to see him top of the Bundesliga scoring charts in October.

Going to six on Saturday, he's scored double in the Bundesliga than he ever managed at the Hammers already.

So, he's keeping great company.

Against Paderborn, Fullkrug became the first Bremen player in over 10 years to score in five consecutive Bundesliga games.

Claudio Pizarro was the last to do that, and he has the chance to continue that record with the streak he is on.

Interestingly, he's outscored Joel Piroe, Taty Castellanos and Pablo in the Championship by himself, too.

That is something that Nuno Espirito Santo will desperately want to sort out, sooner rather than later.

Either way, he's highly unlikely to ever play for West Ham again, and Werder Bremen will be trying everything they can to secure him permanently.

Looking at this, it's a win-win for everyone.
