Max Kilman called out live on BBC over incident in West Ham draw vs QPR
Max Kilman was involved in a flashpoint in West Ham United's eventful clash with Queens Park Rangers on Friday night.
The Hammers marked their return to Championship action in a rather dramatic fashion as they drew 1-1 at the London Stadium.
QPR were awarded a first-half penalty that will go down as possibly the worst you will see in any game all season.
Tomas Soucek, in the side for the first time this season, poked the ball away from Paul Smyth at full stretch.
However, despite the midfielder getting a touch on the ball - and the small matter of the contact being outside the box anyway - a pen was awarded, which Nicolas Madsen converted.
West Ham finally woke up and levelled through Jarrod Bowen, who went on to see a late penalty saved by Pierce Charles, but should the Hammers have been down to 10 men a little earlier?
Max Kilman involved in incident with Rayan Kolli
Shortly before Bowen had equalised, Kilman and Rayan Kolli had a coming together.
What initially appeared to be innocuous soon threatened to boil over, with the referee dishing out yellows.
Kilman pulled Kolli to the ground near the right-hand touchline and then appeared to land on his opponents head with both legs.
The QPR player retaliated by pushing Kilman, who was perhaps fortunate his opponent did not make more of the knees to the head.
Speaking live on BBC Radio London, former QPR player Paul Parker said: "I didn't like it, what Kilman did there.
"He's gone in and they've got tangled, they've gone down, then he's held Kolli's head between his legs."
Ruebyn Ricardo the story of the show
Bowen was so close to being the West Ham hero - again.
After equalising out of nowhere, he had a chance to win it from the spot late on but fluffed his lines.
That means it is two points dropped for West Ham, but that simply would not have happened had referee Ruebyn Ricardo not made such a dreadful call.
West Ham did not find their rhythm for the remainder of the first half, and the first half of the second.
Nuno Espirito Santo's side did finally find a second gear, but it was too late in the end on a disappointing night at London Stadium.
