Manor Solomon torn to shreds over 'weak', 'poor' Israel performance in latest international stinker
Manor Solomon's international woes with Israel continued on Thursday night.
The West Ham United winger played all 90 minutes as his nation drew 0-0 against Kosovo in the Nations League.
While it was the first point on the board for Israel in Group 3 of League B, they are now hurtling towards relegation to League C, where they could face countries like San Marino and Moldova.
Stats show that Israel had three big chances to score against Kosovo in Hungary, but Solomon and his teammates couldn't beat the impressive Amir Saipi in the Kosovan goal.
After the game, West Ham's Solomon admitted that he didn't have the best of games.
And Israeli media reacting to the result seem to agree.
Why Israeli media slammed Manor Solomon's latest performance
Overall, the 27-year-old was largely ineffective against Kosovo.
Ynet said that the Hammers man "showed disappointing ability" after the game.
During their live coverage, Ynet criticised a "poor" shot in the first half and a "weak ball into the box" just before the hour-mark.
Israel Hayom said that Solomon "had to adapt to a new position" against Kosovo, with the former Tottenham and Fulham attacker playing largely in a central attacking midfield role instead of out on the wing.
So can Nuno Espirito Santo learn anything from the out-of-position role that Solomon played against Kosovo?
Solomon's stats vs Kosovo - can he play as a No 10?
Stats by Sofascore don't show Solomon's performance in a good light.
He had just one shot at goal, which went wide and generated a lowly xG of 0.05.
Despite his advanced role, he generated just one key pass and only two of his six crosses were accurate.
The Israel attacker's pass accuracy was 83 per cent and he lost possession a staggering 14 times.
Out of the 31 times he carried the ball, he only carried it substantially forward on two occasions, showcasing just how lacklustre he was.
Solomon has faced fierce criticism during this international break for comments he's made in the media.
Maybe it's about time that this politically-outspoken forward focusses on improving his game instead of trying to make so many headlines with his words.
