West Ham United don't have to wait long until returning to Championship action again.

Unlike the Premier League, the second-tier plays in most midweeks, especially after this extended international break.

It's not been a good month for Nuno Espirito Santo, and that continued on Friday evening.

A 1-1 draw against QPR followed the three-week break and 2-2 draw at Millwall before it.

That has put the Hammers down to third in the Championship, four points behind leaders, Swansea.

But on Wednesday, they have the perfect chance to turn it around.

How can I watch Lincoln vs West Ham?

As with all Championship fixtures in midweek, the action is shown live by Sky Sports.

West Ham travel to the ProAmpac Stadium on 14 October, kicking off 15 minutes after the other three games.

With an 8pm kick-off, it will be shown live on Sky Sports Main Event, Football and Ultra HDR.

Classed as the main fixture, it will be analysed before and after in the Sky studio with guests, rather than just commentary.

Where did it all go wrong for West Ham?

Not much went right for the Irons against QPR.

After going one behind with the worst penalty decision ever as Tomas Soucek was somehow punished, it was a real slog.

Of course, it was positive to get back and pick up at least a point, but it should have been so much more.

Jarrod Bowen missed that late penalty in added time, and there were plenty of groans around the London Stadium.

Promotion is all about winning those ugly games, and it's something that West Ham will need to start doing soon.

Too many draws here and there, you start to fall behind, with Swansea and possibly Middlesbrough starting to create a small gap.

It's nothing to worry about yet, but with Lincoln in the bottom half, West Ham need to go there and win.

There isn't room for anything else, especially after a couple of very ugly draws, Nuno will know that.

With only one meeting between the two in over 40 years, West Ham will be hoping for a repeat of that League Cup victory back in 2023.
