Keiber Lamadrid and £120,000-a-week star: Three players currently unhappy at West Ham United

West Ham United have bounced back superbly from their slow start to the Championship season.

Failing to win in their first three fixtures, it looked set to be a disappointing year in the second-tier.

Nuno Espirito Santo has turned things around though, with four straight wins enough to send the Hammers top.

Friday's huge 6-0 win over Wrexham saw their goal difference soar, with things finally clicking at the London Stadium.

It was always going to be a tough start, given the lateness of their transfer action, but it's looking good now.

With that, comes unhappy players, and West Ham Zone have picked out three below who will want more.

Weird transfer experiment hasn't worked

With relegation a real possibility midway through last season, West Ham spent big.

The likes of Taty Castellanos and Pablo arrived, but couldn't do enough to keep the Irons afloat.

Alongside them, Keiber Lamadrid was also signed.

Arriving from La Guaira in Venezuela, the young winger was made permanent this summer after an initial loan.

With three appearances for the senior side, and the same for the under-21s over the past 10 months, he hasn't exactly hit the ground running.

Lamadrid currently looks like one of those experiments that will simply fail before moving back to South America.

Joshua Ajala will want more

It's been a weird start to the season for the young attacker.

While not completely unhappy, he will have wanted more, especially after his exploits in the Carabao Cup.

That journey came to an end against Fulham on Tuesday, but his two goals at Southampton in the previous round have only seen him earn nine minutes in the Championship.

Young players want things handed to them in the modern game, but Nuno will need to make sure he rewards certain gems when they deserve it.

Ajala is certainly in that category.

Alphonse Areola can't escape

The Frenchman clearly wanted a way out this summer, but it just never materialised.

Maybe, a big part of that is the £120,000-a-week wage packet, via Claret and Hugh, which likely didn't even have a reduction clause in after relegation.

Mads Hermansen is now number one, and even Finlay Herrick is starting games in cup competitions ahead of Areola.

If that isn't a sign that the road has ended for him at the London Stadium, nothing else his.

With his partner loud on social media in support, and also disgust, it's clear that a fresh start is wanted for everybody.
