Joel Piroe takes brutal dig at Wrexham after West Ham demolition in Mads Hermansen message

Joel Piroe has fired shots at Wrexham's attack following West Ham United's 6-0 demolition of the Red Dragons on Friday.

The Dutchman is starting to get in the groove for the Hammers, and once again found the back of the net at the London Stadium.

He side-footed the Irons into a 2-0 lead over Phil Parkinson's side, as it was as much of a one-sided contest as Championship fans will see all season.

Nuno Espirito Santo's men had the majority of possession, and their backline was untested for large parts of the game.

Mads Hermansen did not have to make a single save, even though Wrexham's only shot on target would have resulted in an equaliser, had it not been for a clearance off the line from Konstantinos Mavropanos.

West Ham are starting to spread positivity once again in E20, and Piroe is cracking jokes at the expense of Wrexham's humiliation.

Hermansen has emerged as Nuno's first-choice goalkeeper for this campaign, with youngster Finlay Herrick currently the chosen deputy.

Rumours suggest Alphonse Areola does not want to be at the club, but the 33-year-old failed to secure a move elsewhere before the transfer window slammed shut.

Nuno is starting to find his best starting eleven, and it seems like Piroe is among his favoured choices.

Following the result, Hermansen posted on his Instagram to celebrate the win.

The goalkeeper wrote: "Beautiful night at home."

In a response on Saturday, Piroe commented: "Was it a nice watch?"

The on-loan Leeds forward is clearly implying that Wrexham's poor form in the final third meant Hermansen had an easy day at the office.

Parkinson's side has only averaged one goal per game so far, so Hermansen may get some more difficult challenges in the near future.

Has Hermansen started the season well?

Hermansen was heavily criticised for poor performances last season, as he was in and out of the side, playing less than 50 per cent of West Ham's league games.

But the 26-year-old has only ever spent one other season in England's second tier, and it resulted in promotion with Leicester City

Hermansen has played in all seven of West Ham's league games so far, with a current goals-prevented record of minus 0.11.

His save percentage stands at 62.5 per cent, which is currently less than what the statistic was in the Premier League.

There's still plenty of time left in the season, so Nuno will be hoping Hermansen's performances grow with time, as confidence continues to build.
