How West Ham's stars have fared at 2026 World Cup so far
West Ham United have five players representing their country at this year's World Cup, some of whom have impressed more than others.
And for their own sake, it is a good thing.
It gives these players, several linked with exits, a chance to put themselves in the shop window.
For West Ham, they may be able to increase the price tags that they have on these players should they opt for a move away from the London Stadium.
Crysencio Summerville is the main one in that regard, with several Premier League clubs keeping tabs on him this summer.
But how have West Ham's stars fared at the World Cup? We take a look.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
The former Man United defender has started both of DR Congo's encounters at the World Cup, but has yet to be on the winning side.
He played the full 90 in their most recent 1-0 defeat to Colombia, having been withdrawn with five minutes to go in their 1-1 draw with Portugal.
As for Aaron Wan-Bissaka's performances, it has been a mixed bag.
Only 10.2 per cent of full-backs have averaged more tackles per 90 than the West Ham star, who also ranks in the bottom 26 per cent for his pass completion.
It has been a mirror image of his Premier League campaign with the Hammers, in which he failed to show too much consistency.
Tomas Soucek
Tomas Soucek will have no more part to play at the World Cup, not only because of the Czech Republic's exit, but also because of his own injury.
The West Ham midfielder looked to have suffered a serious injury in the latest clash with Mexico, with replays showing how he went down under no contact.
Soucek was stretchered off the pitch in agony, which will not bode well for his chances of making the start of the new season.
Prior to that, he had started just one of their three World Cup encounters.
Edson Alvarez
Edson Alvarez spent the last campaign on loan at Fenerbahce, though he remains contracted to West Ham
And having played the full 90 in Mexico's latest 3-0 win over Czechia, he will also remain at the World Cup for the knockout stages.
The 28-year-old has played an influential role for his country, averaging 8.35 defensive contributions per 90, as well as having won six tackles across three games.
El Hadj Malick Diouf
For El Hadj Malick Diouf, he too looks set for a similar fate to Soucek, albeit without the injury.
His Senegal side have lost both of their encounters so far, while having conceded six goals in that period.
He played the full 90 in the 3-1 defeat to France and was withdrawn after 54 minutes in the 3-2 defeat to Norway
Given his attacking nature, Senegal would have been hoping for more output from the left-back, who has created just one chance in those two games.
Crysencio Summerville
One of three players almost nailed on to quit West Ham this summer.
Crysencio Summerville has been in excellent form for the Netherlands, with two goals and an assist to his name in just 115 minutes of football.
His only two shots of the tournament have resulted in goals, while his only chance created also resulted in an assist.
Several European clubs have been mooted with an interest in the Dutchman, who will almost certainly have seen his price tag rise as a result of his form.
