He couldn't quite believe the call after steering clear of any pushing and shoving from the majority of players on the pitch.
It had looked as if Bolton would be without Sheehan for three matches, including the visit of West Ham.
That ban has now been cancelled, as Wanderers confirmed on Tuesday.
They wrote, "Josh Sheehan will be available for Wanderers’ next three matches after a successful appeal of wrongful dismissal."
He will now be available to face the Hammers as Nuno Espirito Santo prepares his side for a trip to Greater Manchester.
