Why Amanda Staveley now wants talks with Greater London Authority amid West Ham bid
Amanda Staveley has ambitious plans after bidding for shares at West Ham United.
The former Newcastle United chief is planning to buy the Gold Family's shares at the Hammers, for starters.
There have also been talks of PCP Capital Partners possibly becoming majority stakeholders after talks with David Sullivan.
Daniel Kretinsky could foil Staveley's plans by stopping her arrival, but she's already thinking about what could come next at the London Stadium.
The Irons are in a bit of turmoil on and off the field after being relegated from the Premier League.
Despite the East London club's recent struggles, there's arguably plenty of potential there, and Staveley sees that.
What Amanda Staveley plans to do after buying significant West Ham stake
Staveley's opening £300million bid was rejected by Sullivan, with the former West Ham chairman wanting more for his 38.8 per cent shareholding.
It remains to be seen whether the British businesswoman is successful in taking over the Hammers.
If Staveley does find a breakthrough at the Irons, she would explore purchasing the London Stadium, according to The Times.
In the newspaper's print edition on 10 August, it's reported that the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is open to "any discussions".
Staveley is keen to find a possible deal with the Greater London Authority for the stadium, which could be available for as little as £50m.
There would be certain stipulations if Staveley were to purchase the London Stadium, with alterations having to be delayed until 2029 if the capital is awarded the World Athletics Championship.
When resolution could be expected after Amanda Staveley bid
Kretinsky still has a chance to stop Staveley from buying the Gold Family's shares by matching her offer.
It remains to be seen whether the Czech chief will do so.
There is set to be a pre-emption process at West Ham and over the next two months, there will be two rounds of right of refusal for existing shareholders to buy the shares at the price agreed by PCP Capital Partners.
Only time will tell whether that will happen, but a resolution to the matter should be expected by late September or October.
Next up for West Ham, Jarrod Bowen and Nuno Espirito Santo, though, is the Championship's return.
