Callum Wilson could be a difference maker for West Ham United when they face Everton in their next Premier League match.

The English striker has routinely found himself on the bench for the Hammers, with Nuno Espirito Santo seemingly not his biggest fan.

However, Wilson has popped up with numerous crucial moments for the Irons, including that winner against Tottenham in January.

While Taty Castelllanos and Pablo have been preferred in recent weeks, the upcoming tie against Everton could be the perfect chance for the striker to make another impact.

As West Ham gear up for Everton, Wilson’s record against the Toffees makes his selection seem all the more plausible.

West Ham failed to score against Crystal Palace, and that fact could push Nuno to make changes to his attack against Everton.

If he does, then Wilson will no doubt be at the forefront of his mind as one of those changes.

However, that is down to the minutes provided. The 34-year-old has only received 128 total minutes over those appearances.

But Wilson has often loved to play against Everton, as the Englishman has eight goals against the Merseyside outfit in his last seven appearances.

Interestingly, when Wilson scores against Everton, he tends to score more than once a game.

Furthermore, when the Hammers ace scores against the Blues, he has always been on the winning side. It gives Nuno all the more reason to select him and attempt to get him into the best possible areas on the pitch.

Wilson’s future at London Stadium has remained uncertain for quite some time over the last few months.

In January, it was reported the Hammers were looking to terminate his deal early; then just a few months later, it was reported they were looking to tie him down to an extension.

However, ever since then, there has been little coming out on that front, and it appears that Wilson will head out the door in the summer.

But before then, his record against Everton could prove to be a parting gift for Nuno, who so desperately needs more points on the board.

Starting the veteran against the Toffees seems like the correct move, considering the history that is there, and the Portuguese manager must be brave with his decisions.
