West Ham swoop for Jack Tomlin after Arsenal disappointment
West Ham have secured the signing of former Arsenal youth goalkeeper Jack Tomlin.
This comes from a report via Arsenal Insider, who outline that the shotstopper was informed by the Gunners that he would not be receiving a scholarship late last year.
After featuring on the bench for Arsenal Under-18 matches against West Brom, Southampton and Fulham, the 16-year-old will now continue his development at West Ham.
The youngster was named on the bench during the Hammers’ U18 clash with Crystal Palace last week, and will look to further his career at the London Stadium.

West Ham have had goalkeeping issues this season
While Tomlin is a long way off the first team at his age, the youngster arrives shortly after both Tom Wooster and Reece Byrne both committed their futures to the club.
In the first team, Nuno Espirito Santo has had consistent issues between the posts, with both Mads Hermansen and Alphonse Areola interchanging throughout the campaign.
Hermansen in particular has came under fire from supporters after a poor start to life with the Hammers, after previously impressing for Leicester City, though his performance in the 1-0 win against Fulham proved to be his best for the East London club as of yet.

The Dane was recalled by Nuno last month, after Areola had conceded in every one of his 20 appearances leading up to West Ham’s January win against Burnley.
The Frenchman has made 20 Premier League appearances this term, but has been condemned to the bench for the last five outings, while Hermansen has racked up nine appearances in the league after being dropped by Graham Potter in September.
Clean sheets must now become the norm as West Ham look to survive
The Hammers have looked a completely different side in 2026, with the January win against Tottenham kickstarting a run that now has Nuno’s side sitting level with Nottingham Forest on goal difference, who sit just outside the relegation zone.
The only shame for Nuno was that the recent win and clean sheet against Fulham came at a time when Forest were able to secure a 2-2 draw against Manchester City at the Etihad.
The Hammers have kept three clean sheets in their last five league outings – rather synonymous of a Nuno side in the top flight, once he has had the time to instil his values.
Hermansen has kept four clean sheets across nine league appearances, and this must become the norm as West Ham look to avoid relegation.
