Graham Potter to be ‘delighted’ after new West Ham announcement
West Ham may finally be looking towards the light at the end of the tunnel.
It has been a long season in East London, with Graham Potter failing to really push on since replacing Julen Lopetegui earlier in the season.
As the summer transfer window approaches for West Ham, there is plenty of work to do to progress, but with PSR restrictions, David Sullivan will have to ensure the business is shrewd.
Given his history of working with young players, Potter could well be ready to turn to the youth side in pre-season and see if he can locate the next Ollie Scarles to take the step up.

West Ham goalkeeper in England announcement
Although things may not have been going too well in the first team, it hasn’t been all doom and gloom at the London Stadium.
The West Ham youth set-up has continued to perform well both in terms of the players featuring for the youth side and those on loan spells to get first-team experience.
Potter will be pleased about the amount of potential in the ranks currently, and an England announcement on Monday (12 May) showed that to definitely be the case.
Lanre Awesu has been called up to the England under-17 squad for their upcoming games in Albania, highlighting just how well the young goalkeeper has progressed.
The 17-year-old recently signed his first professional contract with West Ham, having impressed throughout the youth ranks and is seemingly continuing that push on the international stage.
Having already trained with the first team this season, Potter will no doubt be aware of the young player’s call-up and delighted at the progress being made.
Potter has a busy summer ahead
It may have been a slow start to life in East London for Potter, but he hasn’t had the easiest of circumstances to contend with.

Although the boss has missed some crucial players in his squad through injury, Lopetegui’s spending last summer meant that business was limited during the winter transfer window.
However, with his first full window soon upon us, Potter will no doubt be ready to transform the squad and put his stamp on things.
Sullivan has to show his manager support, as serious improvements are needed for a higher push in the Premier League next season.
Furthermore, Potter will be judged once he has had the chance to change things, and if the improvement is not enough, fans will make their feelings known.
