Yuri Alberto agrees big money West Ham United contract in new transfer update
Yuri Alberto has agreed to a big money contract with West Ham United which will see him become one of the highest-paid players at the club, according to TeamTalk.
The online outlet reported on Wednesday (30 August) that the Brazilian striker is the preferred striker signing this summer, with Alberto also agreeing on the switch to the Premier League already.
West Ham and Corinthians are continuing talks between the clubs, with Tim Steidten in Brazil leading negotiations on what looks to be a deal in the region of £17.2million for the 22-year-old who has scored 21 goals in 74 appearances for the Brazilian side.

David Moyes’ side had been offered the services of Flamengo forward Pedro and AC Milan’s Divock Origi whilst also being admirers of PSG’s Hugo Ekitke, but have opted to pursue the Brazilian international instead as they look to strengthen their forward line.
Some window
It feels a long time ago now that everyone was critical of Moyes and the Hammers’ approach to the transfer window when they were at one point the only Premier League team to have not made a signing, as in the last month they have flown into gear.
Alberto represents an incredibly shrewd piece of business that should be exciting for West Ham fans, with a wealth of experience both domestically and now in international football at a young age, whilst possessing an eye for goal.
The Hammers needed reinforcement upfront before the sale of Gianluca Scamacca as despite Michail Antonio’s good start to the season, they do occasionally remain short of genuine goal scorers and have lacked a consistently prolific number nine for a long time.

Hopefully, the addition of Alberto should see those recent struggles put to bed, and when partnered with the impressive midfield additions of Mohammed Kudus, James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez, the Hammers have completed some exceptional business this summer.
It remains to be seen what Moyes and his new side are capable of this season, but if they can maintain their early season form, you wouldn’t be keen to rule out a fourth consecutive year of European football on the horizon, although it is very early days.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers may be able to better Ian Maatsen’s wage at Stamford Bridge this summer
