Wolves make Max Kilman decision as West Ham United eye three new defenders
Wolves have inflated the asking price of Max Kilman amid a £25million bid made by West Ham to sign him, according to the Times.
The newspaper reported via its online edition on 21 June that the Molineux outfit have done that as they owe 15 per cent of any transfer any profit to Maidenhead United.
Wolves bought him for £40,000 in 2018 and are currently looking at £45million if they are to sell him.
West Ham must not be held to ransom for Max Kilman
The Hammers must not be held to ransom for Kilman, as there are other options available in the transfer market.
While the 27-year-old is a talented defender with Premier League experience, there are other players who could potentially fill the same role at a lower cost.
Alternatively, they could look to sign a younger, up-and-coming defender from a lower league or abroad.
This would not only save them money in the short term, but it could also provide them with a player who has the potential to develop and grow with the club.
Julen Lopetegui may also ask the club to sign an experienced defender from a top European league.

While this would likely cost more than signing a player from a lower league, it could provide an immediate upgrade on the current options he has available to him.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to secure the free transfer of a player who’s set to leave a Premier League club this month.
