Will Salthouse ‘instrumental’ as West Ham United set to seal new signing within days

Will Salthouse will be instrumental in West Ham getting a deal across the line for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Sean Whetstone.

As reported via West Ham Football on X (6 August), the Unique Sports Management CEO will be crucial to any transfer being agreed in the coming days.

It is believed that a deal for the Hammers to sign Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United could be agreed this week.

West Ham United to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United?

This could prove to be a huge week for Julen Lopetegui and the club.

The Hammers’ media team have been working harder than ever with the club confirming the arrivals of Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Füllkrug and Guido Rodríguez in recent days.

And adding Wan-Bissaka to that list would no doubt stir up some excitement at the London Stadium.

While the right-back has struggled with Manchester United at Old Trafford, there is no denying his defensive qualities.

When it comes to one-on-one defending, there are few better right-backs than Wan-Bissaka in the Premier League, if any at all.

His limitations are going forward. However, he might not be asked to do as much of that at the London Stadium as he is at Old Trafford.

If Wan-Bissaka can continue his defensive form for the Irons, and make some slight improvements to his attacking contributions, this could prove to be another shrewd bit of business.

In other West Ham news, a medical has been scheduled for one player to quit the club before the transfer deadline.
