Aaron Wan-Bissaka being linked with a move away from West Ham is nothing news.

However, he has now been mentioned alongside the best team in the Premier League.

Arsenal are reportedly considering signing the DR Congo international as they look to strengthen for their league defence.

The right-back is often a decisive figure and he has been so ever since his Manchester United days.

A season in the Championship certainly looks to be off the cards for the fullback amid the transfer latest.

And Wan-Bissaka is not the only man on Arsenal's radar as the summer transfer window continues to rumble on.

Why Aaron Wan-Bissaka would be failing upwards

It would be harsh to call the 28-year-old a flop, but it also feels like he has not been quite as much of a success as originally expected.

In truth, Wan-Bissaka has been fairly mediocre and a move to a side like Arsenal is not exactly deserved based on his performances.

However, the Daily Mail reported on Monday that Wan-Bissaka has "not been dismissed" as an Arsenal signing, with the defender offered to the Gunners.

A move to the Premier League's top guns would be quite the shock to many, especially for English legend Paul Scholes.

Back in 2021, speaking for Premier League Productions, Scholes questioned whether Wan-Bissaka was built for a team at the top of the table.

He stated: "Wan-Bissaka is useless on the ball - brilliant defender but useless on the ball at right-back."

Arsenal, of course, hold plenty of possession per game, so the African ace would be expected to receive the ball quite frequently.

So, no matter how you view Wan-Bissaka's ability, to get a move to the league champions would be a stroke of luck.

Who else do Arsenal want to sign from West Ham

In a move that would not quite be as shocking, Crysencio Summerville is also on Arsenal's radar.

The Daily Mail share that Arsenal "have considered making a move" as both Chelsea and Manchester United are in the fray.

The Gunners will be in need of newly-added wingers following Leandro Trossard's reported move to Besiktas.

There have been reports that a club-to-club agreement has been reached over the transfer of the Belgium.

Once that is confirmed, Arsenal may very well enter the winger market and they may reconsider Summerville once more.

So, while Summerville to Arsenal would make sense, Wan-Bissaka may consider himself lucky to get such a transfer.
