West Ham want to sign Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell amid Jesse Lingard plan
West Ham could make a January move for Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell, according to Claret and Hugh.
Cantwell, 23, has only played five times for the Canaries this season, and his last appearance was on September 18.
The Englishman’s Norwich contract expires next year, and West Ham could be set to swoop in for him during the January transfer window if they are not successful in their pursuit of Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard.

Cantwell has been eyed as a potential alternative to Lingard with his ability to play across the forward line.
It is thought that Cantwell would be open to the idea of moving to the London Stadium while his contract situation means he could be bought for a bargain fee in January.

Cantwell rose to prominence during the 2019/20 Premier League campaign that saw Norwich relegated.
Despite the struggles of his side, Cantwell ended the season with eight direct goal contributions, and he bettered that by four the following season as the Canaries stormed to the Championship title, his second in three seasons.
However, he has found himself on the periphery of the action this season, and his future appears uncertain as the months go by.
He fits the David Moyes bill as a young, hungry attacker who has experience in Premier League football, and it’s no surprise to hear claims by online news outlet 90min that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp “appreciates” him, with the Merseyside club linked with a move for him earlier this year.
Cantwell’s age and status as a domestic player also add value, and he could represent a long-term Manuel Lanzini option if the Argentine opts to depart in the next few years.
