John Percy reported on Friday that Nuno's long-term number two is set to join him once again after spells with Wolves and Nottingham Forest.

The 49-year-old has been a coach since 2010, but did take a jump into being a manager in 2021 when he joined Famalicao.

Silva was the man to hand Sa his debut and could be set for a reunion with him at West Ham.

West Ham have agreed a £17m fee for Sa, and Silva has already made his feelings clear on how much he loved working with the attacking midfielder.

What has Silva already said about West Ham target Sa?

There is no hiding the excitement in East London that surrounds the potential signing of the Portugal under-21 international.

He is already captain of Famalicao at 21 and has seriously impressed as a Liga Portugal regular.

Sa got his big chance back in 2021 when Silva handed him his debut while manager at Famalicao Municipal Stadium.

Even after leaving the Portuguese side, Nuno's go-to man revealed just how good he thought the attacker was.

In an interview with Renascenca, he revealed that he was "sorry not to have continued working with him," after leaving Famalicao.

He could get the chance to do so with West Ham for the upcoming season, which will be exciting given how highly Silva rates Sa.

The soon-to-be West Ham assistant believes the number 10 has "a differentiated tactical knowledge of the game" while also having a winning mentality that "demanded a lot from himself".

That should be enough to wet the appetite at the London Stadium and will only make his addition all the more exciting.
