West Ham United want Victor Lindelof transfer, he is ready to move

West Ham want to sign Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof in the upcoming transfer window, according to Caught Offside.

The news outlet reports [16 December] that the Red Devils are willing to part ways with the Sweden international in January, with a price tag of around £6.5million on the defender.

Lindelof’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, and he is open to leaving Old Trafford.

Julen Lopetegui could be handed another centre-back next month, with Luizao looking to go back to Brazil amid interest from SC Internacional [UOL, 14 December].

West Ham United will get an experienced defender in Victor Lindelof

If the Irons were to bring the Swede to the London Stadium, they would have an experienced centre-back on their hands.

Lindelof joined Man United in the summer of 2017 and has since been a regular member of their first-team squad.

While the 30-year-old’s game time in recent years has dwindled, he’s still racked up 183 appearances in the Premier League for the Red Devils.

West Ham bolstered their backline in the summer with the additions of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo.

The London Stadium faithful had high hopes for Lopetegui’s team going into the campaign, but they’ve fallen way short of expectations.

Having conceded 28 goals in 15 league appearances before the Bournemouth game on Monday [16 December], the Hammers’ defence has left much to be desired.

If the Wan-Bissaka transfer is anything to go by, then the Irons shouldn’t hesitate and make efforts to acquire Lindelof’s signature.
