West Ham United want to sign Victor Boniface in ‘stunning’ £50m January transfer deal
West Ham are lining up a £50million move to sign Bayer Leverkusen striker Victory Boniface in January, with David Moyes behind the idea, according to Alan Nixon.
The Sun journalist shared via his Patreon [21 January] that Moyes is keen on the idea of landing a big-money deal for a proven striker in January, with Tim Steidten trying to set up a deal with his former club.
Nixon also reports that this move could see both Danny Ings and Michail Antonio leave the London Stadium in an attempt to balance the books, while Said Benrahma could also leave.
He would be a real difference-maker
Out of several strikers West Ham have been linked to in the January transfer window, Boniface is surely the most exciting option.
Ten goals and seven assists in just 16 Bundesliga matches, raising to 16 goals and 8 assists in all competitions, make him the standout number nine on the Hammers’ shortlist, and he would be well worth the £50million outlay.
With Moyes willing to spend big on a deal, and the likes of Benrahma and Ings able to be shifted to help balance the books, this one should be a no-brainer for the transfer team at the London Stadium to get done.

Not only are his stats impressive, but at just 23 years old, he has plenty of room to learn and keep improving his game in East London to make him one of Europe’s best and most reputable strikers.
Selling both Ings and Antonio as a result would mean West Ham are still short of options up front, but Boniface would be able to start the majority of games with Bowen as his backup.
