West Ham United want to sign Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham
West Ham United have shown an interest in Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon after the Emerson Palmieri deal hit a snag, according to 90min.
The Spanish left-back has fallen out of favour at Tottenham under Antonio Conte, with Ryan Sessegnon and summer signing Ivan Perisic ahead of him in the pecking order.
The Hammers are in the market for a left-back and had targeted a move for Chelsea defender Emerson, but the deal hit complications over personal terms and was called off.

That took them in the direction of Reguilon, with Nottingham Forest also interested in a loan deal for the Spaniard.
West Ham have however since re-opened talks for Emerson and with a deal now edging closer to completion, Reguilon is unlikely to cross London this summer.
Interesting
It’s very interesting to see how willing West Ham are to deal with their rivals in the transfer market, but also how wide they’ve cast their net for targets.
Moyes had identified the position as a priority to strengthen this summer and while the Euro 2020 winner now looks set to join, it’s not before links to the likes of Filip Kostic, Grimaldo and Borna Sosa.
It shows that Moyes was willing to bring in several players for the position and it was ultimately all about getting the best deal for the club, which is an ideal way to work rather than putting all eggs into one basket and hoping.
We’ve seen the same approach in attack this summer with Gianluca Scamacca coming in ahead of Armando Broja and it’s done the club well.
Now with more competition and depth in the squad, they need to start picking up points starting with a performance against Aston Villa at the weekend.
