West Ham United want to sign red-hot Bayer Leverkusen ace Victor Boniface, summer transfer on cards
West Ham United are interested in the signature of Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface, according to TEAMtalk.
The publication reported on its website on Friday (10 November) that the Hammers would need to wait until next summer to have any chance of signing him.
The 22-year-old, who joined Bayer Leverkusen from Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer, has scored 11 goals this season.

“TEAMtalk can reveal West Ham United are interested in signing in-form Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface as they look to bolster their attack.
“While Boniface is ambitious and scoring at a high level – including in the Europa League – there is a realisation that getting him this season will prove difficult.
The combination of him only just joining Leverkusen, along with the Bundesliga side’s early season form, means West Ham would have to wait until the summer to sign him.”

Star man
Boniface has been in serious goalscoring form in recent times, with the striker earning himself a move to the Bundesliga having shone for Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise last season.
His efforts in Belgium and in the Europa League managed to catch the eye of the German club, where he has now banged in 11 goals in all competitions from just 15 matches.
A total of seven of those strikes have come from 10 Bundesliga games, with the Nigeria international also netting three Europa League goals and one DFB-Pokal goal.
That form has helped fire Leverkusen to the very top of the Bundesliga table, with the German side undoubtedly keen to keep hold of their star striker for as long as possible.
But his goals, along with his recent arrival, suggest that the Hammers will find it very hard to sign him in January, which could see their interest brought to an abrupt end given how goals are needed now at the London Stadium.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers will be impacted by a potential Premier League rule change, with a vote impending.
