West Ham United want to sign Motherwell starlet Lennon Miller ahead of Celtic, Rangers, Tottenham and Newcastle
West Ham United want to sign Motherwell’s teenage starlet Lennon Miller ahead of a host of Premier League clubs, according to TEAMtalk.
Writing on their official website (18 November), the news outlet report the 17-year-old is attracting the attention of several clubs such as Rangers, Celtic, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle.
But West Ham have been impressed by his performances this season and have watched him regularly this season, with his future up in the air despite signing a new contract recently.

“Motherwell starlet Lennon Miller is continuing to attract the interest of a number of Premier League clubs, despite signing a new long-term contract at the club,” they wrote.
“Despite recently penning a new deal with the club, it remains to be seen where his long-term future lies as a number of sides are ready to battle for him.
“Both Rangers and Celtic are fully aware of Miller – who while primarily a central midfielder, can play on the right, and in either a holding or attacking role – and are keeping close tabs on his progress, but they are not alone.
“Sources have told TEAMtalk that Tottenham, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Brighton, Brentford and West Ham are among the clubs who have been watching him on a regular basis this season.”
Talent
West Ham’s academy is known as one of the very best in the world with the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole, Frank Lampard, Michael Carrick, Jermain Defoe and Declan Rice coming through it in recent years.
But we’ve also signed young players well too and helped them develop into top talents, and this is a signing that would fall into that category.

Miller has already played top-flight football in Scotland and impressed, and his versatlity makes him a player that someone like David Moyes would no doubt enjoy coaching and moulding.
The chances of him going into any of the clubs mentioned and getting regular first-team football are slim such is the step up in level from Motherwell, but he would be privvy to better facilities, better coaches and a bit more cash most likely too.
It’s an interesting one to keep an eye on because Miller is clearly in demand and very talented, and West Ham’s reputation with young players is excellent.
