West Ham United want to sign Leeds United winger Jack Harrison as he considers his options

West Ham are interested in signing Jack Harrison from Leeds United this summer, according to 90min.

The football news website reports that Everton and Newcastle are also keen on signing the 25-year-old forward.

The Telegraph reported on 24 May that Harrison is “believed to be weighing up his options” at Elland Road after their brush with relegation this season.

Solid option

Harrison has had a rather good season for Leeds.

He’s often gone under the radar due to Raphinha’s form on the right-hand side of the Yorkshire club’s attack but Harrison has managed to score 10 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions this season from the left-wing.

West Ham fans won’t need reminding that three of those goals came against David Moyes’ side when Leeds won 3-2 at the London Stadium on 16 January.

His biggest goal for the Whites, though, came on Sunday (22 May) when he netted a last-gasp winner against Brentford to keep the Yorkshire club in the Premier League.

According to Claret & Hugh on 25 May, Said Benrahma could be moved on this summer so there’ll be an opening for a player like Harrison at the London Stadium.

The former Manchester City and New York City winger, who was born in Stoke, is fast, direct, energetic, versatile and has an eye for goal.

Harrison can drop into a wing-back role and can also be played up front while in four seasons at Elland Road, he’s played 166 times and has only missed two games due to injury [transfermarkt].

It remains to be seen how much Leeds will want for such a key player for them but if he’s considering his options, there’s every chance a move to the London Stadium would appeal for a player who may have European and international aspirations.
