West Ham United want to sign Everton midfielder Amadou Onana in £50m deal with ‘Big Contract’ on cards
West Ham United are back on the trail of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana and have the funds to pay £50m and give him a big contract, according to Alan Nixon.
The Hammers wanted to sign Onana last summer from Lille but the Belgium international instead opted for a move to Goodison Park under Frank Lampard.
But after losing his place in the side towards the end of a tough season, Everton could look to cash in on big interest to help their financial issues and according to journalist Nixon on his Patreon account (25 June) Moyes is ready to move for him again.

“West Ham boss David Moyes is ready to raid old club Everton to sign midfielder Amadou Onana at the second attempt,” he wrote.
“Moyes wants powerful Belgian Onana to replace Declan Rice and the Goodison club may be willing to sell for between £40 and £50 million.
“The Hammers chief wanted Onana when he left Lille last summer only to lose out to Everton where he started well but was less of a regular under Sean Dyche in the closing weeks.
“Moyes has the funds to pay the fee and a big contract but he will have to convince Onana that this is the right move.”
Power
Declan Rice is on his way out of the club, and that means midfield absolutely needs to be a priority to be strengthened during the summer window.
Kalvin Phillips and James Ward-Prowse have been the main targets linked in midfield to replace him from the Premier League, but Onana has phenomenal physical attributes that they don’t have that could be better suited.

He’s not as good on the ball as them but he could fill in that role defensively and also when it comes to driving forward with the ball at his feet to break lines.
£50m is looking likely to be a price for whatever midfielder we want this summer because everyone knows we’re about to come into cash, but after missing out on Onana last summer Moyes will have plenty of convincing to do this time around.
It will certainly be one to watch because we know that Moyes loves the player, and he could form a formidable partnership with Lucas Paqueta to help us in the Europa League next season.
