West Ham United want to sign brutal new striker amid Niclas Fullkrug struggles in London
West Ham are interested in a move for PAOK striker Stefanos Tzimas after being alerted to his incredible potential, TBR Football reports.
According to the outlet’s website on 31 October the Hammers are eyeing up the Greek youngster, who is also attracting interest in La Liga and Ligue 1, after displaying “brutal” finishing while on loan at FC Nurnberg in Bundesliga 2.
The 18-year-old has scored five times in his past four league outings to attract the interest of the Irons who are struggling up front with summer signing Niclas Fullkrug a non-factor due to injury.
As such the club are reportedly looking to strengthen the striking options again in 2025, although Tzimas has been tipped to cost £18million.
Tim Steidten to sign another West Ham striker for Julen Lopetegui?
Fullkrug’s signing has so far backfired on Tim Steidten and West Ham as the former Borussia Dortmund ace has played just three Premier League games off the bench before missing the next six.
That has obviously contributed to the difficulties Julen Lopetegui has had in the early months of his reign at the London Stadium, as he has been obliged to do what David Moyes so often had to before him and fall back on an aging Michail Antonio up front.
After spending so much in the summer it seems unlikely that there will be a huge amount to splash out in January without sales, so a move for Tzimas might have to wait until the summer.
Either way Bundesliga 2 is a long way from the Premier League so it would be presumptuous to assume the young Greek could come in and answer all of the Hammers’ issues straight away.

The priority for now has to be to get Fullkrug fit to feature regularly and hope that plan A from the summer can belatedly come good.
The Germany international remains out with calf problems, and Jhon Duran reportedly still remains on the club’s wish list as a result [GiveMeSport, 27 October].
