West Ham United want to sign Arnaud Kalimuendo from Paris Saint-Germain
West Ham have entered the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Arnaud Kalimuendo after completing a deal to sign Gianluca Scamacca, according to Goal France.
The Hammers completed a move to bring Italian international Scamacca to east London, paying a total of £35.5m to Sassuolo to beat PSG out in the race for the 16-goal striker.
But a fresh report [July 29] claims that David Moyes wants to sign a second striker and 21-year-old Kalimuendo is seen as a great option, with the French champions valuing him at around £21m [L’Equipe].

Leeds have already made several bids for the striker while Nice are also interested, and PSG are ready to sell if their asking price is met.
The player is happy to leave if he can’t be guaranteed regular football, and Goal report that a “way out could be found by Sunday or soon after”.
Interesting
Kalimuendo is a super talented young striker and he would fit in with the right type of profile that Moyes likes to sign.
A young player with great ability but also bags of potential to continue to develop and improve, while also not costing an arm and a leg.

Kalimuendo would’ve been a very logical and solid signing before the Scamacca deal was concluded, but with the Italian already in claret and blue and Michail Antonio not going anywhere any time soon, it seems unlikely.
A change in formation could potentially see Antonio used as a winger option this season which would increase the need for another striker, but there are far more pressing issues in the squad needed more urgently.
Had it been later in the window and all other business had been concluded then maybe, but it seems like a stretch that West Ham would grab another striker before a left-back or another midfielder.
