West Ham to announce Mohammed Kudus signing at 6pm on Sunday as medical passed
West Ham intend to announce the signing of Ajax ace Mohammed Kudus at 6pm on Sunday [27 August], according to 6foot2.
The Hammers have agreed a £38million deal with Ajax for the Ghana international, who is set to sign a five-year deal at the London Stadium [Daily Mail] after completing his medical.
6foot2 editor Sean Whetsone reported on Sunday [27 August] via his Twitter account, West Ham Football, that a formal announcement is close.
“As widely reported, Mohammed Kudus’ medical has been completed without issue,” he posted.
“Official Announcement expected around 6pm tonight.”
Nearly there
Kudus to West Ham has been one of the longest-running transfer sagas of the summer.
That said, a deal has always looked likely to go through over the past week or so, with the player himself effectively saying his goodbyes to Ajax fans this week.
That came on the back of scoring a hat-trick in the Dutch giants’ 4-1 Europa League qualifying win over Ludogorets on Thursday [24 August].
Kudus is proving his quality in an Ajax shirt right until the end, and now West Ham supporters will get the chance to see that on a weekly basis.

The 23-year-old is not coming cheap, although to put the transfer into some perspective, he is costing just under a third of what West Ham got for Declan Rice.
After a good start to the season on the field, West Ham supporters now have every right to feel very excited for what could well be another memorable campaign.
In other West Ham news, the Irons appear to have rekindled their interest in another of their long-time targets.
